CHILDREN’S STORY PIECES
A project that began when we were teaching early childhood music classes on-line during the pandemic. We were looking for ways of combining story time with instrumental performance, and started making music videos of children’s stories. Some use music that we discovered from other composers, some we created ourselves. This is an ongoing series – we are always adding new ones. Watch them here.
12 DAYS OF NOËLS
Inspired by the traditional music of the old French Noëls and the natural landscape near our home in the French Quarter of Edmonton, we have set seasonal music to seasonal images that align with the twelve days between Christmas and Epiphany. Each video starts in the winter, moves through the warmer seasons and returns to winter again, accompanied by Noël settings by Chedeville and Rippert. Watch them here
RIVER CROSSING SOUNDSCAPE PROJECT
We received a grant from the Edmonton Heritage Council and Edmonton Arts Council to create a piece that expressed the history of the River Crossing area of Edmonton, where the original Fort Edmonton once stood. This was a live performance where we collaborated with the Mountain Soul Singers and projected field recordings collected from the area. The performance was recorded, and you can watch it here.
STREAMING ON APPLE MUSIC
