A self-study program for developing the ability to play by ear, designed for musicians who can play, read music, but feel “stuck” to the written page. If you want to make playing by ear feel easier, this course is for you.

We start with the simplest possible tunes, break them down into recognizable patterns, and play it back and forth several times. If you are playing along, you can pause, rewind, or slow down the recording as much as you want.
The lessons continue, gradually adding a wider range of notes and more variety in rhythm. The complexity of the material increases very slowly, giving lots of time to establish confidence and trust in your ability to play by ear. If you want a faster pace, you can skip ahead to the next set of lessons once you feel like you have got it.
